The document contains an analysis of the figure of Luther and the roots of his reform, when 500 years of Protestantism have passed and there are signs of a possible unity.

In 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 thesis on the door of the Palatine Church in Wittenberg, thus challenging the authority of the Catholic Church and initiating Protestantism. The Lutheran Reformation spread to the present day, decisively influencing the history of Europe and the world. In 1999, 482 years later, Catholics and Lutherans signed a joint document to put an end to the doctrinal confrontation.

Pablo Blanco holds a doctorate in Philosophy and in Theology and graduate at Philology . He teaches Dogmatic Theology at the University of Navarra.
