Pablo Blanco publishes 'Luther, 500 years later'.

The professor of the School of Theology is co-author of the book together with Joaquín Ferrer Arellano, PhD in Theology and Law.

The professor of the School of TheologyPablo Blanco has recently published Luther, 500 years latertogether with Joaquín Ferrer Arellano, PhD in Theology and Law. The document contains an analysis of the figure of Luther and the roots of his reform, when 500 years of Protestantism have passed and there are signs of a possible unity.

In 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 thesis on the door of the Palatine Church in Wittenberg, thus challenging the authority of the Catholic Church and initiating Protestantism. The Lutheran Reformation spread to the present day, decisively influencing the history of Europe and the world. In 1999, 482 years later, Catholics and Lutherans signed a joint document to put an end to the doctrinal confrontation.

Pablo Blanco holds a doctorate in Philosophy and in Theology and graduate at Philology . He teaches Dogmatic Theology at the University of Navarra. He is the author of numerous biographies of Joseph Ratzinger: Joseph Ratzinger. A Biography; Joseph Ratzinger. Life and Theology; Benedict XVI, the German Pope; The Theology of Joseph Ratzinger. Joaquín Ferrer Arellano is also a member of the Royal Academy of Doctors, the Spanish Mariological Society and the International Thomas Aquinas Society. award Luis Vives of Philosophy of the CSIC, and author of numerous monographs on legal, philosophical and theological topics such as Metaphysics of the relationship and otherness; Philosophy of legal relations; The Mystery of the origins; Philosophy of religion; Creation and Evolution; Souls of the Eucharist or Brief treatise on evolution and creation.
