The GRISO co-organizes in Guarda (Portugal) the international seminar "Mockery and clandestine poetry in the Iberian world (Golden Age)".

The universities of Salamanca and Coimbra and the Centro de Estudos Ibéricos (CEI) in Guarda have collaborated in the activity.

On June 20 and 21, took place at the Library Services Municipal Eduardo Lourenço de Guarda (Portugal) the internationalseminar "Burla y poesía clandestina en el mundo ibérico (Siglo de Oro)", co-organized by the group de research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the School of Philosophy y Letras of the University of Navarra, the Centro de Literatura Portuguesa (CLP) of the University of Coimbra, the group de research en programs of study Portugueses y Brasileños (GIR EP&B) of the University of Salamanca and the Centro de Estudos Ibéricos (CEI) of Guarda.

A dozen researchers from Spain, Italy, Mexico and Portugal participated in the meeting . On behalf of GRISO, the speakers were the researcher Mariela Insúa, with the lecture "Sátira política en boca de hortelanos: las cartas de don Guindo y doña Guinda"; the Full Professor Jesús M. Usunáriz, who spoke about "Una imagen del valido -y del rey- a través de la sátira política en la España del siglo XVII"; and the doctoral student Miren Usunáriz, with the session "Las torres más levantadas / son del aire más batidas. The satire of the Spanish Crown in some manuscripts of the Library Services Nacional de Portugal". Attendees also enjoyed a guided tour of the historic center of Guarda, visit .

This seminar is part of the activities of the project of research "La burla como diversión y arma social en el Siglo de Oro (II). Political and clandestine poetry. Recuperación patrimonial y contexto histórico y cultural" (PID2020-116009GB-I00), corresponding to the Convocatoria 2020 de Proyectos de research and development+i del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación del Gobierno de España, whose principal investigators are Ignacio Arellano (IP1) and Carlos Mata (IP2).
