La colección ‘Persona y Cultura’ de la Universidad de Navarra publica dos nuevos libros orientados a preparar la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud
The 'Person and Culture' collection of the University of Navarra publishes two new books aimed at preparing for the workshop World Youth Day.
One of them deals with the joy of the Christian faith and the other with the understanding of the Gospels.
The interdisciplinary book collection 'Person and Culture', directed by the University of Navarra theologians Tomás Trigo and Enrique Molina, has published two new titles. They are aimed at enabling readers to "prepare adequately and live fully the workshop World Youth Day," according to these professors.
Why are you always cheerful? is written by Juan Moya Corredor, priest, doctor and canonist. The author reflects on the reasons for Christian joy: why Christians should live hope in all the circumstances of their lives and how they can express without complexes the freedom that faith provides, among other topics.
In El Evangelio a cuatro voces, Pablo María Edo, professor of the School of Theology at the University of Navarra, analyzes questions such as the historical rigor of the image of Jesus conveyed by the Gospels, how these four texts were written, their understanding and their current relevance.
More than 100 experts from 15 universities and educational centers throughout Spain and Italy participate in 'Persona y Cultura', a series of short works that deal in a simple way with issues of great importance in people's lives. The collection began with the following four titles, written by professors from the University of Navarra: John Henry Newman. Una semblanza, by theologian José Morales; Aprendiendo a vivir: el descanso, by psychiatrist Fernando Sarráis; La vida del no nacido: el aborto y la dignidad de la mujer, by physician and theologian José María Pardo; and ¿Qué es la objeción de conciencia, by pharmacist and bioethics expert José López Guzmán.
