Giovanni Mazzacani, from the lecture of the United Nations on Trade and development, gave a junior seminar organized by the Navarra Center for International Development of Institute for Culture and Society, under the degree scroll 'Rethinking Trade and Poverty'. In it, he focused on how to reduce poverty through trade.

Mazzacani mentioned some concrete examples of how domestic and foreign trade policies influence the growth of the country that implements them. Among them, he pointed out that in the last 20 years, China, South Korea and Singapore have adopted an export-oriented trade strategy, thanks to which "their economies have grown considerably".

At the opposite pole, he placed Argentina, of which he said that it tried to be self-sufficient and reduced its exports: "That caused a serious economic crisis in the country. However, it learned from the mistake and is now recovering".

For three months, Giovanni Mazzacani has been working at the lecture of the United Nations on Trade and development, a UN body that promotes the integration of less developed countries in the world Economics .
