The University of Navarra in Madrid hosted a workshop on the historiography of Opus Dei, with the participation of academics and researchers from various universities.

On February 7, 2025, the University of Navarra (Madrid campus) held a workshop on "Historiography of Opus Dei", an academic meeting that brought together more than 40 historians from various countries, such as Chile, Argentina, Nigeria, Peru, Mexico, Poland, Italy, Spain and the United States. The workshop was divided into three thematic blocks, in which different approaches to the historiography of the institution were discussed.
The first block, graduate Opus Dei in cultural and political historiography," included a discussion paper by Pablo Pérez (University of Navarra) and comments by Santi de Pablo (University of the Basque Country). The second block, "Opus Dei in the historiography of the Church," included the participation of Santiago Casas (University of Navarra) and Antón Pazos (CSIC, Santiago de Compostela). Finally, the third block, "The historiography from the own production", counted with the intervention of Julio Montero (UNIR) and the comments of Pawel Skibinski (University of Warsaw).
This event provided a space for the exchange of ideas and reflection on the historiographical treatment of Opus Dei. It was a workshop that fostered interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthened research on the history of the institution.
