On October 23rd began the cycle Self-esteem and Maturity organized by the project CET and taught by the doctor in Psychology José Benigno Freire. The cycle, which will run until November 6, aims to provide the keys to knowledge staff in order to develop each of the vital stages to the maximum. Although knowing oneself seems to be a complicated matter, the professor of Personality Psychology said that, in reality, the great secrets are simple things, habits that are developed on a daily basis.

The first session entitled 'Affective World' surprised the attendees. The professor warned that the secret of happiness does not lie in advice such as "take care of yourself or take time for yourself", but in much simpler and easier habits. During the lecture, the conference room had two main protagonists: laughter and surprise.

The audience was amazed by the simplicity of the professor's explanation, who, in a masterly manner, related how the human being is not able to reach his goals because he does not understand himself as a unit. In this unity, body and reason cannot be separated; a problem that arises throughout life. For example, "the first thing we do when we get up is a practical exercise of fracturing the operative unity of being, either we get out of bed or we stay in bed. You can't keep one leg on and one leg off," explained Professor Freire to laughter from the audience. "Either you get up and reason wins - humanity - or you stay lying down and corporeality wins. And we become stultified," he said. He added: "This happens because we are normal. If you wanted to get up, you would always be in a shrink". "Getting up, going to school, not eating those croissants we like... it's a matter of having a goal of why to do it. Corporately it costs the same, but we change the paradigm and our humanity wins."

Professor Freire assured that it is the "small operative acts where rationality wins over corporeality" that lead to satisfaction staff. However, he left the audience waiting for "the true kernel of the secret of happiness", which he promised to reveal during the next meetings. The sessions 'Maturity staff' and 'How am I?' will take place on Thursday, October 30 and November 6. All the information on @proyectocet .
