La Clínica Universidad de Navarra, "Best Hospital in Patient Care" in Spain.
This is the second time that the medical center has received this recognition in a Best In Class Awards competition.
The Clínica Universidad de Navarra has been awarded for the second time with the distinction "Best hospital in patient care" at the Best in Class (BIC) Awards. The awards ceremony submission was held in Barcelona. The BIC Awards are an initiative promoted by Gaceta Médica and the Chair de Innovación y management Sanitaria of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
In this, the ninth edition, there has been a record number of entries with more than 650 nominations. The BIC Awards goal publicly recognize the best hospital, the best primary care center and the best services and units in Spain, both public and private, that strive for excellence in patient care.
The awards are based on the score obtained by the candidates through the Patient Care Quality Index (ICAP), which is established from the multivariate analysis of the data collected in the self-assessment questionnaires completed by hospitals and primary care centers. The Chair de Innovación y management Sanitaria of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and the different scientific societies contribute rigor and independence to the assessment system of healthcare quality.
The Clinic's general director , José Andrés Gómez Cantero, participated in the awards ceremony submission , which took place at the World Trade Center in Barcelona. Before this award, José Andrés Gómez Cantero expressed "great satisfaction, because this award is an award for the effort and professionalism of all those who are part of the Clinic". In this sense, the awarding of this recognition "certifies the effort to attend to each patient with the highest quality service possible. This award gives me a great opportunity to thank the entire staff for their dedication and generosity".
Previous editions of the BIC Awards have honored Clínica Universidad de Navarra on several occasions and in different medical disciplines.
