The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra launches eight new diplomas of specialization for the next academic year.

Aimed at students of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry , they will cover environmental, clinical and research, and will be taught in Spanish and English.

The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra has launched eight new specialization diplomas for the coming academic year. The programs, aimed at students of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry , will offer competencies in the environmental, clinical and research fields, and will be taught in both Spanish and English.

Specifically, these are the Diploma in Environmental Biology, which delves into plant and animal diversity and its interaction with the environment and introduces students to the procedures of assessment environmental impact, diagnosis and prevention of pollutants; the Diploma in Clinical Biology, oriented to the specialization in biological analysis related to health, in addition to the techniques of a laboratory of clinical analysis; the Diploma in Chemistry Environmental, which provides training on the processes of environmental degradation and remediation; and the Diploma in Chemistry Medical, which will prepare the student for their development professional in the world of pharmaceuticals and the research in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry. These four programs will be taken at Spanish.

With respect to the new diplomas in English, three will be offered at goal to foster research vocation in Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry and Biomedicine: Research Training Program in Biology, Research Training Program in Chemistry and Research Training Program in Biochemistry and Biomedicine. The latter, in partnership with the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA).

Diploma in Marine Biology at the University of Tromso

Finally, the Diploma in Marine Biology will be launched, to be carried out entirely at the University of Tromso (Norway), thanks to the Erasmus program. Aimed at Biology students and taught entirely in English, it will allow the study of fish lifestyles and physiological and anatomical adaptations to different aquatic habitats, as well as the culture of these organisms: fry production, Genetics, feeding, nutrition and fish health.

In the design of these eight programs, the School of Sciences has taken into account the areas of research with the most prestige and consolidated experience: the area environmental and the biomedical and biosanitary research . Priority is also given to training internship and research scientific multidisciplinary, and internationalization, thanks to agreements with centers around the world. Finally, the diplomas respond to some of the most demanded areas in the field of Biology, such as Environmental Biology and clinical biology, which represents an added professional value.
