The CIMA of the University of Navarra has obtained for the second consecutive year the first place in the ranking of Spanish patents. These are the results of the report "Industrial Property of Spanish Companies in the field of Biotechnology. Year 2007", carried out by the Circle of Innovation in Biotechnology for the association Spanish Biocompanies(ASEBIO).

issue The study shows that CIMA has presented the largest number of inventions (14), followed by Advancell, Grifols, PharmaMar and Oryzon Genomics (6). It also ranks first in terms of Spanish applications and patents (5), ahead of NBT (4) and Italfármaco (3), and holds two of the ten European applications. The remaining 8 are shared by Advancell, Bionostra, Natraceutical, Neocodex, Cibasa, high school Oftalmológico de Alicante, Lipotec and Pharmacia Spain.
