Mariano Crespo delivered the discussion paper 'Illusio Amoris. On the Possibility of Acting out of a Distorted Value-Feeling' at the Symposium 'On Acting Against One's Better Knowledge. The Classical Antiquity and the Early Phenomenology Perspective', organized by the high school of Philosophy of Palacky University (Olomouc, Czech Republic, 13 /09/16).

Public discourse

Inés Olza was speaker invited to the VIII International congress of Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Leipzig with the lecture 'Dissent as a pragmatic-interactive category' (Leipzig, Germany, 26-29/09/16).

 

Ruth Breeze presented the work 'Is B2 the right level for university study in English?' at the congress 2016 of the European Association for International education (EAIE). (Liverpool, UK, 13-16/09/16).

 

Luis Galván Moreno intervened with the discussion paper 'programs of study postmodern: from textual hermeneutics to multidisciplinarity' at the congress Assises Internationales 2 des langues portugaise et espagnole of the University Jean Monnet. (Saint-Étienne, France, 29-30/09/16).

Jokin de Irala y Maria Calatrava presented the discussion paper 'Structured leisure activities and alcohol consumption among adolescents from Peru and El Salvador' at the XVth Biennial Conference of the European Association for Research on Adolescence (EARA). (La Barrosa, Cádiz, 16-19/09/2016).

Cristina López del Burgo offered the lecture 'Online pornography and sexual violence. Review of the scientific evidence' at the 18th Latin American congress of Sexuality and Sexual Education . (Madrid, 28/09-01/10/16).

 

Silvia Carlos gave the lecture 'Prévention du VIH à Kinshasa: recherche épidémiologique dans la communauté. Actualisation des projets de recherche de recherche de prévention en VIH à l'HGR de Mont-Ngafula' and 'Medical interventions in HIV/AIDS' at the Center of training and Health Support of the Monkole Hospital Center (Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, 03-06/09/16). He also presented the communication 'Information about HIV/AIDS in Kinshasa (DRCongo): Sources, Messages and Associated Changes related to Prevention' at the XXXIV Scientific meeting of the Spanish Society of Epidemiology (Seville, 14-16/09/16).

-Presented a project peeliminate on sanitation in India during the 'Research Day' of the Centre for the Evaluation of Development Policies of the Institute for Fiscal Studies and University College London (London, UK, 21-22/09/16).

Alberto Cendoya participated in the 52nd ISOCARP Congress 'Cities we have vs. cities we need', where he was awarded by a work. (Durban, South Africa, 12-16/09/2016)

 

ATLANTES Programme

Carlos Centeno y Eduardo Garralda attended the RN/InSup-C Symposium Integrated Palliative Care: Are you ready for change? of the association European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC), held in Brussels. There, Carlos Centeno delivered the session 'Barriers and opportunities to the integration of palliative care across Europe' (Brussels, Belgium, 30/09/16).

Nunziata Comoretto participated in the XXX congress of the European Association of Centers of Medical Ethics in Leuven, where she presented the oral communication 'Letters of gratitude: essentials of palliative care through the eyes of family carers'. (Leuven, Belgium, 08-10/09/16).

 

Religion and Civil Society

Montserrat Herrero presented the communication 'Unconditioned Hospitality and Ethical Substitution: Reflections of Jacques Derrida on the Principle of Hospitality' at the convention of the Centro di Etica Generale ed Applicata (C.E.G.A.) 'Etica dell'ospitalità' at the Collegio Borromeo. (Pavia, Italy, 08-10/09/16).

Daniel Moulin presented the research 'Leo Tolstoy and John Dewey on the education of the people. John Dewey's Democracy and Education' at the congress 100 Years On: Past, Present, and Future Relevance at the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK, 28/09/16). In addition, he presented a keynote graduate 'Character Building As Identity Formation' at the Character Building, Equality & Wellbeing European Association of Single Sex Schooling. (London, UK, 30/09/16).
