Izaro Díaz, 2nd year student of Degree in Philology Hispánica, and Lola García, 4th year student of Degree in Philosophy, have been elected delegate and subdelegate of the School of Philosophy y Letras.

Izaro is 19 years old and is from Bilbao, "although I've been in Navarre for so long that I'm Navarre at heart," she explains. "I also define myself as a person with a Classics soul. I like to read and write, as a good philologist". She assures that she faces her new position "with a lot of excitement": "Lola and I are eager to do things and to listen and help everyone, because the students are the real voice, not us". In this sense, our delegate explains that among her goals for this academic year 2021-22, she has proposed "tohelp all students feel at home, because that is how I have felt during this time at the University". She is also looking forward to promoting among her fellow students "that humanistic vocation that our School demands" and encouraging them to participate in all the activities that are planned, "because that is how the true university spirit is created".

Lola is of the same opinion, who encourages her colleagues "to enjoy every detail of these years of degree program, whose end seems far away but, in reality, is very close". Together with Izaro, for this course our subdelegate has proposed "to carry out projects that may be interesting for the students of the School". This Cadiz born, golf and music lover, and fond of watching the campus of the University for hours, aspires to be "a close and reliable figure to which any student can go in case of doubts or problems". To them she conveys a message of encouragement and hope, but also of patience: "Although it seems that we can see a little light in the tunnel after this long odyssey, we must continue to be prudent, in order to get out of this pandemic that has affected us so much".

Congratulations and good luck in your new position!
