Paula Izco (ISSA'17) wins third place in the award Best project End of Degree-Master's Degree by Volkswagen Navarra
The assistant manager at department Logistics at the German plant competed with around 30 other jobs from the engineering and business
The former student of ISSA School of Management Assistants, Paula Izco has been ranked third in the second edition of award for the Best project End of Degree- Master's Degree of Volkswagen Navarra. A native of Noáin (Navarra), Izco competed with thirty works in the areas of engineering and business.
Its project "management of training manuals in Moodle" has enabled the Volkswagen plant in Navarre to reduce the cost invested in publishing the training manuals for the courses they teach. "Printing these copies used to cost 7,000 euros a year, and after implementing the Moodle platform, the cost has been reduced to 300 euros, which has enabled a saving of 6,700 euros," says Izco. He also says that during the degree program he had used this tool, which "served as guide and coordination for the project".
He assures that this recognition has given him "a boost of self-esteem" and that what he liked most about his work was to defend it and present it in the final, something he had achieved "thanks to the training" he had received at the University.
The former student completed her curricular internship at the well-known automotive plant, between January and May 2017, at area Finance. Once this period was over, she was called to cover the maternity leave of the assistant manager of the Logistics department , where she is currently working. She says she is very happy: "attention very different topics: financial, management, organizational. Every day I learn something new and I go home with a good taste knowing that I am growing as a professional".
