Nutrition students participate in the International Week of Health & Technology 2015
The meeting brought together students and professors of Human Nutrition and Dietetics from several European universities in Belgium.

Students of the Degree of Human Nutrition and Dietetics of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra have participated in the International Week of Health & Technology 2015. Together with Professor Marta Cuervo, Isabel Espuelas, Nicole Salvador, Adriana Pérez, Andrea Sierra, Elisa Sinibaldi and Diana Sagastume traveled to Leuven (Belgium).
For the third consecutive year, the University of Navarra participated in this European meeting among students and professors of area of Human Nutrition and Dietetics belonging to several European universities: the host Belgium (Leuven Univsrtiyt College), Finland(Lahti University of Applied Sciences), England (University of Durham), the Netherlands (University of Groningen), Austria (University of Applied Sciences and St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences), Poland (Warsaw University of Life Sciences), Sweden (Karlstad University), France (Université Paris 13), Italy (University of Bologna), Spain (University of Valencia and University of Bologna), Sweden (Karlstad University), Italy (Université Paris 13), Italy (University of Bologna) and the United Kingdom (University of Valencia and University of Bologna). Pölten University of Applied Sciences), Poland (Warsaw University of Life Sciences), Sweden (Karlstad University), France (Université Paris 13), Italy (University of Bologna), Spain (University of Valencia and University of the Basque Country), among others.
During one week students and professors had different programs. The academics gave several sessions and seminars on the central topic of meeting "Healthy Aging", one of the main pillars of the European Horizon 2020 Program. In the framework of these presentations, Dr. Marta Cuervo, within the European Erasmus Plus program, gave the session 'Detection of undernutrition in the elderly'.
For their part, the students, divided into groups composed of one member from each university, worked on three projects: Healthy Ageing 2015 (Nutrition and Dietetics), Big Data 2015 and Tour of Flanders 2015. At the end of meeting the students presented their work to the professors for their evaluation.
With this activity, the University of Navarra reinforces its international character, in this case of the programs of study of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, by expanding borders and facilitating the exchange professor and cultural with other countries.
