Julia Franch, one of the students involved in the initiative, explains a little more about it:
How did the initiative come about?
We could not stand idly by in the face of this status and we decided to contact Alvaro Cuadrado, founder of association HambreCero. financial aid We wanted to help him, and he has already sent a truck with 24 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Lviv (Ukraine). He now has six trucks with 300 tons of material and donations to send.
However, they are blocked because there are insufficient funds to make the shipment, i.e. they needed money.
Merging two of my passions, sport and marketing, was the perfect combination to put our enthusiasm, time and resources at the disposal of Ukraine, who really need us, and to be able to raise funds in a quick and positive way. A virtual degree program . I knew it would be easy to involve a great team like the one behind it.
Are there any requirements to sign up? Kilometres, time, etc.
No! None. You can choose whether you want to run 1km, 5km, 10km or 15km. Total freedom. We even have a row 0 bib, which allows you to donate without running. Whatever you want.
Where will the funds go?
The funds will go to HambreCero. HambreCero has 6 trucks loaded with material that leave from Arganda del Rey (Madrid) and go to Leopolis (Ukraine).
Every contribution and every kilometre we run through the #Rockthesport platform on the degree program ''Let's run for Ukraine'' is one kilometre closer to sending the humanitarian financial aid to those affected by the war.
Why was this NGO chosen?
Álvaro Cuadrado was in the Branding and Innovation club at School last year, I was still at contact with him.
