Inspired by her professors at School of Education and Psychology, and especially by the one who is now her director of thesis , Carmen Basanta decided to do the doctorate when she finished her programs of study of Teaching and Pedagogy. Today we climb on her heels to know how she sees life and the world from her shoes.

"In a safe place", by Wallace Stegner, a novel about two married couples in which they are university professors.

Being able to dedicate time to what I am passionate about, which is reading about Education, arts, creativity, and sharing what I read with other teachers at School and with my colleagues at doctorate.

3.- Do you have any fear?
Since I was little I have been afraid of death.

4.- Your favorite song?
"Viva la vida", by Cold Play.

5.- What surprised you the most when you arrived at the University of Navarra?
That people treated me by name. I had the feeling of being recognized from the very first moment.

6.- Which historical figure would you have a coffee with?
Although not really a historical figure, I would have liked to have a coffee with Sir Ken Robinson, a creativity guru who passed away a couple of years ago.

The last series I watched was "This Is Us" and I really liked it.

8.- Has anyone inspired you?
My parents, without a doubt, and in recent years, my director of thesis , Carmen Urpí.

9.- What do you like to do in your free time?
Right now I'm learning Italian and in the near future I'm going to take up the violin again. I also like to play squash a lot.

10.- Are you a beer or a wine drinker?
As a good Galician I will tell you that it depends on the moment: a good beer with friends and a good wine for a good conversation.
