A total of 22 teams of four people each participated in the internal Case Competition organized by the School of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Navarra on the occasion of the celebration of the day of the patron saint. The Case Competition is a competition in which students must put their theoretical knowledge applied to a specific business on internship .

The jury, made up of professors from School, consultants from venture capital firms and investment banking analysts, proposed as topic the international expansion of the Irish retail chain Primark, which belongs to group Associated British Foods and specializes in clothing and accessories at low prices. The groups had three hours from the time they received this information to prepare a proposal and defend it before the jury.

Primark opened its first store in 1969 on Mary Street in Dublin. In less than a year they opened four more stores, but it was not until 2000 when it took a definitive leap when it acquired the stores of C&A, taking advantage of its withdrawal from the British market, which helped it to exceed 100 establishments. Since 2006 the brand has been immersed in a process of internationalization in Europe, which began with a first store in Madrid, followed by stores in Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
