The portal of scientific publications Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) has positioned Scripta Theologica, of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra, among the journals with the highest impact worldwide. Specifically, the publication ranks second in Spain and 14th out of 537 worldwide in the field of scientific programs of study related to religion.

This means that it is in the Q1 quartile, that is, within the top 25% of the world's most relevant journals in its category, and issue two among Spanish journals in this field. This indicator details the visibility of the journals contained in the database Scopus since 1996.

Professor César Izquierdo, director of the journal, assures that they are happy because this recognition is a consequence of the criteria of rigor and excellence that they have been incorporating into the journal for years. He also points out that, in any case, his goal in being at the top of the rankings continues to be "to provide a better service to theology and its dialogue with human knowledge in general".

Scripta Theologica is the journal of the School of Theology and is published three times a year: April, August and December. It publishes articles and bibliographical reviews on biblical and systematic theology, patrology and liturgy. It promotes an interdisciplinary approach and pays attention to current theological issues.

From the date of its appearance in 1969, it has made a significant contribution to the development of theology through the writings of its numerous collaborators. Its presence in the heart of the university has always facilitated dialogue with the great areas of human knowledge .
