workshop Welcome reception for international students of Economics with the support of the Buddy Program
129 students from 27 countries will make a exchange this year. semester

The international students, coming from 53 universities, got to know the School through the Welcome workshop organized by the office of International Office. Members of the Buddy Program, which coordinates the International Committee, accompanied the international students throughout the workshop.
During the lunch, held in the courtyard of School, the students were able to get to know each other and exchange their first experiences. Lily Palmer-Clarke, a 3rd year economics student from London, recognizes that it has been an opportunity to meet people: "Before I arrived I didn't know anyone except my buddy. Now I've been able to meet Americans, Australians, Irish and even Kenyans. Likewise, Giammarco Perlini, student , a 3rd year Economics student from Italy, highlights the financial aid he has received from his buddy: "I have loved the Buddy Program and it has been very useful to have someone to look after you when you arrive at School".
Buddy Program students have also been able to exchange experiences with newcomers. María Pilar Torres, 2nd year Economics Leadership and Governance Program student and buddy, highlights the possibility of opening up to other cultures from Pamplona: "The Buddy Program financial aid teaches you to be very open-minded and to be a good listener. My dream is to be an ambassador and it has been a great opportunity to be able to start interacting with people from other countries and other cultures".
The Welcome workshop was the first meeting of the international students with the School where they will spend one or two semesters at exchange . After the first days of welcome, the welcome continues with the Buddy Program through which student members, also called buddys, will provide international students during their stay with the advice and guidance they need. "We should all have the opportunity to have someone to help us when we travel to another country," says buddy María Pilar Torres.
