01/10/13 11:12 Carolina Villegas

On the occasion of the opening of the "Venture Booster for Young Entrepreneurs" program, an initiative to support university entrepreneurs, two student members of the University's Entrepreneurship Club share their impressions of their participation in the club.

1- Whatis the benefit of being a member of the entrepreneurs' club?
2- Does it interfere with your programs of study?
3- What do youexpect from the entrepreneurs club for the future?

Laura García - 3rd Year of advertising and Public Relations

1.- It gives me that side of business that in advertising we see only the last semester. I financial aid to apply what I learn in my degree program with a different perspective than the one we see in class. The organization seminars and creativity seminars that are offered introduce you to the area of business which is at the end where we are going to work, so we apply what we learn in the theoretical world in a practical world that feels much more real.

2.- No, because most of the seminars are at lunchtime or in the afternoon. The longest ones are four days and are very bearable talks, they are not time consuming and are adjusted to the schedule, they are never board with your classes.

3.- I hope it will serve me not specifically to create a business, but for life in general, to learn how to manage my finances, how to manage a family, an apartment. What I like about the Club is that no matter what you study, they give you the instructions to carry out your ideas.

Sergio Marín - 3º of Philosophy + advertising and Public Relations

1- The function of the Club de Emprendedores is to encourage and help university students with an interest in entrepreneurship in the world of work to have the resources to do so, both in terms of financing and training. I believe that the University is a place where you have to train people culturally and professionally, and that is what the Club is giving me. It is giving me all that knowledge of the working world that is left aside when studying Philosophy .

No, I think it is a question of time and priorities. Being involved in more things apart from degree program makes you organize yourself much better, because you know that either you organize yourself or you are not able to carry out all your projects. Of course it involves sacrifice but at the same time it is rewarding, it is a matter of demanding a little.

3.- I think that what will help me most is the contact with people. We listen to people who are already in different sectors of the business world, they tell us their experiences and knowing the failures and successes of others will help us not to make those mistakes and take the good experiences as an example. In addition to training professional The Club provides you with contacts, people who can be very valuable for the day of tomorrow when you want to start your business.
