During the month of October and November, Compassthe University's Counseling and Wellness Unit, has offered several workshops to promote emotional wellness among students. With a comprehensive approach , the topics addressed have ranged from emotional dependence to awareness of substance and technology use. Some recommendations have also been given to learn how to manage stress and time, or to adopt strategies of development staff and promote healthy lifestyle habits.
A total of 118 students attended these workshops. The format, characterized by small groups of no more than 20 people per session, has allowed for personalized interaction. Participants have highlighted this dynamic as a success, as it has given them the confidence to express themselves without reservation and to obtain specific answers to their concerns.
As Compass points out, the success of this initiative is evidenced not only by the enthusiastic participation of the students, but also by the valuable feedback received. Attendees have expressed a desire to continue exploring the topics covered in future workshops, have requested more in-depth and specialized sessions, and have suggested new areas of interest that they consider relevant to their overall well-being. An example is the recurring proposal about a workshop on study skills.
The organization concludes that this edition of the health and wellness workshops has left a positive and lasting impression on the students. A second edition will be organized soon, with sessions to be held during the second semester. If any student or professional has suggestions or proposals regarding the workshops and the topics, they can raise them in the following link.
