The School of Sciences had more than 40 students at the workshop introduction to the world of work.

It took place on Thursday, February 3 at auditorium of Sciences Building of the University of Navarra.

The School of Sciences of the University of Navarra organized last Thursday, February 3, an introduction to the working world workshop oriented to its graduates: biologists, chemists and biochemists.

They highlighted several exhibitions related to the different employment opportunities to which the students of the School can apply once they have completed the programs of study. Among them, the following stand out:


- The Careers Office and the career guidance.
- The offer of postgraduate program as well as different ways of financing and scholarships.
- Internet resources for the search of employment and the different sectors of jobs that graduates can choose.
- Skills and competences that the ideal candidate should have to enter to work in an organization, by Guillermo Garía del Barrio, director of high school Científico y Tecnológico de Navarra S.A.
- The access to the first employment through the job listings of the University.


Finally we highlight the roundtable with testimonies and real experiences of the best professional biologists in different fields:
- Jaime Martínez-Lage, delegate of the high school Oficial de Biólogos de Navarra y La Rioja and partner of the business Flumen programs of study y proyectos ambientales S.L.
- Roberto Ruiz López, director General Manager of Agrolab Analítica S.L.
- Montserrat Arrasate Iragui, PhD Researcher at laboratory of cellular neurobiology of CIMA.
- María Olaso Elejoste, specialist in Clinical Analysis at laboratory Dr.Lafita S.L.
