The AA Visiting School and the University will study the hydrological dynamics of the Navarre riverbanks in a course in Pamplona
Workshops will be organized around design territorial, from May 22 to June 1, at the School of Architecture
The "Terrain Lab" course , organized by the Architectural Association Visiting School (AAVS) of London at the School of Architecture University of Navarra from May 22 to June 1, will focus on the study of the anthropized territories of Navarra's riverside, specifically at the intersection of the Arga and Aragon rivers, and their impact on the local and regional landscape.
Participants in the AA Visiting School will investigate the geographic, cultural and partner-economic forces that shape the territories in the search for an optimized solution to the water needs of agricultural production in Navarra.
The AAVS will offer workshops, excursions, seminars and conferences on design large scale, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), territorial scope, drone-based data collection, 3D scanning and dumping of data in applications (ArcMap, ArcGlobe,ArcScene), as well as learning advanced digital tools (Rhinoceros + Grasshopper, CAESAR- fluvial simulation).
The program is aimed at Architecture students and design, as well as young architects. The deadline of registration ends on May 5, 2017, and the program costs £695 (includes Visiting membership fee), although they are offering a discount until April 5.
