ISSA School of Applied Management celebrates its 60th anniversary this academic year 2023/24. After the meetings held in Pamplona (current headquarters of the School) and Madrid, San Sebastian hosted last Saturday, June 22, the third and last commemorative event with which the academic center celebrated its six decades of history. 150 former students, current and historical members of the faculty, businessmen and friends of the center participated in the workshop.

During the event, held at the Aquarium and presented by Antonio María Fernández, director of development of the center, the main milestones in the history of the academic center were reviewed by Maree Lee Lacy, former English teacher and manager until her retirement from ISSA's international relations. The meeting continued with a roundtable with the participation of three directors, who shared their testimony and recalled their years at ISSA, both in San Sebastian and Pamplona: Begoña Taus, director between 1994 and 2000; María Jesús Álvarez, director between 2011 and 2016; and Victoria Rodríguez, current director since 2017.

The event was completed with the intervention of Blanca Torres, manager of Admission, who detailed the current and innovative training proposal of ISSA School of Applied Management: "The Degree in management Applied is an official Degree unique in Spain that trains experts in management of processes, resources and people, with mastery of at least three languages, communication skills and deep knowledge of the computer tools that are used today in the business".

The celebration ended with a few words from Victoria Rodriguez, current director of ISSA: "I want to thank the work of our former students, who in all these years have set an example of know-how (being and being) all over the world, and have made our mission statement their own, testifying to the importance of the work well done for those who deal in the day to day of the management".

The workshop was completed with a mass celebrated in the chapel of San Pedro del Muelle and with a visit to the palace of Eva Enea, which for 50 years housed the headquarters of ISSA, and which is currently the headquarters of the high school Mayor Jaizkibel.
