"The educator will not be sensitive to what the other person is experiencing if he is not sensitive to what he himself is experiencing", said José Victor Orón, researcher of group 'Mind-brain' of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) and director of the UpToYou program of Education emotional . He made these statements in the framework of a session to present the new cycle of trainings promoted by this program.

The cycle is aimed especially at teachers and parents and will be held in three cities in the 2017-2018 academic year. In Bilbao it will take place from October 20 to 22, November 3 to 5 and December 1 to 3. In Pamplona it will take place from October 27 to 28, November 10 to 11, December 24 to 25 and December 15 to 16. In Valencia it will take place from April 13 to 14, April 27 to 28, May 11 to 12 and May 25 to 26.

The plan of training consists of three blocks. The first is 'Fundamentals' and its goal is to address the understanding of the emotional reality of people and what is the emotional Education . The second part is called 'Tools and activities' and consists of developing dynamics similar to those that the participants will later face in their day-to-day work as parents or educators. The third block is 'Educational complements' and serves to deepen in aspects necessary to make an accompaniment staff.

Self-knowledge and understanding of identity staff

" Participants will grow in self-knowledge, will make decisions taking into account their complexity and will better understand their identity staff", said José Víctor Orón. He also added that "they will improve various aspects such as being proactive in their own lives, sensitive, grateful, respectful and social. In this way, they will not stop growing and will be able to find meaning in their tasks and work.

From agreement with the researcher of the ICS, the approach that UpToYou bets on does not consist of teaching a theory that is then applied: "The people who attend will live in first person formative experiences".

"The courses are about the educators themselves progressing in a way staff and in their relationships. The experience consists of growing in self-knowledge based on the specific emotional reality of each person," he pointed out. "With this system," he stressed, "the student will learn to connect their happiness with that of others and to move forward with the growth of their personal relationships.
