ATLANTES
Carlos Centeno, Eduardo Garralda and Miguel Sanchez Cardenas participated in a scientific meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO) held online under the degree scroll 'Development of a set of indicators to measure and monitor the impact of national palliative care programs. 3rd virtual expert meeting'. Carlos Centeno presented two sessions and Eduardo Garralda moderated another one (30/09/2020).

Creativity and cultural heritage
Julia Pavón presented the oral communication 'Profiles of the medieval Navarrese landscape' at the online course '.Material traces of the History of Navarre: current issues on Navarrese Archaeology.' (16/9/2020). 

 

Anna Dulska attended the congress international on line 'The Culture of Memory. 100th Anniversary of John Paul II's Birthday', organized by The Centre for the Thought of John Paul II (Poland). He presented a discussion paper together with Pablo Perez entitled 'Making the Church, making the culture: cultural influence of John Paul II on Spain' (29/9/2020). He also intervened in the international congress 'Unity in diversity. Culture-History-Art', organized by the John Paul II University in Krakow (Poland) with the discussion paper 'Over there, where the cold makes people's nose tips fall off: the winter landscape of Central Europe according to medieval travelers' (in Polish) (28/9/2020).

Emotional culture and identity
Javier Serrano presented the oral communication 'Negative emotions in the reception of news: an approach from constructive journalism' at the XXVI congress of the Spanish Society of Journalism (SEP)organized by the University of Zaragoza (18/9/2020). The discussion paper can be viewed online.

Public discourse
Ruth Breeze gave the seminar 'Mixed Methods: Corpus Assisted Discourse Studies' for the doctoral students of the intercultural languages and programs of study program of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan (Italy) (17/9/2020).

Sarali Gintsburg was invited as speaker to the II conference Cultural on the Camino de Santiago & VIII meeting International of visual artists. She offered the discussion paper 'Creating a place in space through poetic improvisation: the pilgrimage diary to a Moroccan sanctuary with some parallels to the Camino de Santiago' (11/9/2020).

Alfonso Osorio, Cristina López del Burgo, María Calatrava, Martiño Rodríguez and Arantza Albertos participated in the 17th EARA 2020 Conference: 'Adolescence in a rapidly changing world'.organized online by the University of Porto (Portugal) (2-5/9/2020). The following papers were presented:

Pedro Fernández de la Rosa attended the seminar on line 'Conceptual zoom meeting: the concept of flourishing', organized by the Harvard University (U.S.) (9/22/2020).

 

Navarra Center for International Development
Luis Ravina and David Soler participated in the international congress 'Shaping Europe's Future with Sub-Saharan Africa. How Academic Research and Political Consultancy can contribute to the improvement of European Policies towards Africa'. The activity was organized by the Centre of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Italy. Luis Ravina participated with a comment in panel 1 'In and Out: Current Issues and Prospects of European Research on Sub-Saharan Africa'. David Soler participates in the panel with a comment in panel 4 'Understanding Africa: The image of Africa in European public and the role of the average' and attended three online talks at The State of Africa event on trade, aviation and sport on the African continent (28-30/9/2020).

Luis Alberiko Gil Alaña participated in the Panel Group for the assessment of FCT projects of the European Commission for Portugal (13/9/2020). 

 

Ignacio Campomanes attended the 'The Political Economy Webinar series' webinars organized by the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR)of the United Kingdom (2/9/2020). He also presented an oral communication at the XXXII SIEP WEB Conference 2020 'Sustainability and public policies'. of the University of Milan (Italy). It was entitled 'The Political Economy of Inequality, Mobility and Redistribution' (17/9/2020).

Miguel Ángel Borrella gave a 'Research Seminar' for the Complutense University of Madrid graduate ‘The Heterogeneous Tax Pass-through under Different Vertical Relationships' (24/9/2020).
