  • Emotional culture and identity

Constantin Parvulescu participated in the 'Fifth annual screen industries in East-Central Europe conference: Transformation processes and new screen average technologies'.  with discussion paper 'Film caravans in Contemporary Romania'. He also moderated the panel 'Popular Hungarian and Romanian films in the 2010s: public funding decisions, audience tastes and festival'. (Slovakia, 20-21/11/2015).

Alejandro Vigo gave the lecture 'Archaeology and aletheiology. La trasformación heideggeriana de la problemática ontológica' at the School de Filosofía de la University of Valencia. In addition, he participated in the seminar Abierto directed by Professors François Jaran and M. Jiménez Redondo with the discussion paper 'M. Heidegger, Being and time § 44'. (Valencia, 20 /11/2015).

Alberto García gave the session 'Film Narrative versus TV Narrative: the cases of Hannibal and Fargo' in the Workshop Innovation Strategies for Research on TV Serial Narratives'.held at the Polytechnic University of (Valencia, 06-07/11/2015).

Alejandro Garcia gave the course 'Society and Culture' as part of the Master's Degree program at management Cultural de la International University of Catalonia (Barcelona, 02-06/11/2015).

 

Pilar León has participated as a guest lecturer in the Senior Management of Health Institutions ProgramÉtica nas Ética nas Instituições Hospitalares (I and II). Conferência-Colóquio Porto (Portugal, 16 /11/ 2015). He has also intervened in the XIX Symposium of the Spanish Society for the History of Medicine 'programs of study visuales sobre medicina y salud: pasado y presente- Visual Studies on Medicine and Health: past and present' at the School de Medina of the University of Zaragoza (Zaragoza, 27-28/11/2015). In addition, she attended the workshop'Communication and clinical relationship. Ampliando la mirada' organized by the high school de Médicos de Navarra (Pamplona, 05-11/11/2015).

Javier Serrano presented the paper 'El consumo mediático en un entorno multipantalla: una aproximación desde las implicaciones emocionales en el Username' at the I International Symposium on Communication management of the School of Social Sciences and Communication of the University of Vigo (Pontevedra, 27-28/11/2015).

Jokin de Irala participated in the conferences of Families in the University of La Sabana(Colombia, 01-08/11/2015). He also presented the project AMAR to the delegates of the Family Ministry in an activity organized by the lecture Episcopal (Madrid, 28-29/11/2015).

Cristina López del Burgo  intervened as a guest speaker in the 4th UK NFP Conference With the papers 'Diet and Fertility' and 'Women's Attitudes to Family Planning Methods' (UK, 14/11/2015).

Inés Olza participated as a guest speaker in the 'I Workshop on Advanced Studies of Humor and Gender'. (WASHUM) at the University of Alicante with the discussion paper 'Multimodal humor: Approaching co-speech gesture in humorous interactions in TV shows'. (Alicante, 26-27/11/2015).

Ruth Breeze gave a lecture at the congress Approaches to Digital Discourse Analysis'. at the University of Valencia with the communication 'Interpersonality in online dispute resolution'. (Valencia, 20/11/2015). In addition, she participated in the congress Annual of CASALC with the plenary lecture 'Principles and practice of academic writing' at the University of Economics Bratislava. (Slovakia, 27/11/2015).

 

Ruth Breeze and Ricardo Jiménez have been 'Honorary Mentors' in the MOOC 'Corpus Linguistics: Method, Analysis, Interpretation', Lancaster University. This is the 3rd edition of this MOOC, created by 19 professors and composed of 9 mentors who attend the students (28/09-22/11/2015).

 

Ramon Gonzalez gave the lecture 'Variation, textual cohesion and encapsulators: grammatical and discursive patterns' in the framework of the seminar 'Grammatical variation: discursive and socio-cognitive perspectives'. at the University of La Laguna (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 17-18/11/2015).

Francisco Güell participated as a guest lecturer at the 2nd congress World Education organized by the association Compromiso y Responsabilidad Educativa in Monterrey, with the discussion paper 'Las ciencias y la training e research interdisciplinar en el siglo XXI'. (Mexico, 11-12/11/2015).

 

Luis Echarte gave the session 'Brain and Identity. An approach from Moral Psychology' as a guest lecturer at the X congress of the association Española de Bioética y Ética Médica (Barcelona, 13-14/11/2015).

 

José Víctor Orón presented, together with Kleio Akrivou, the project 'Two Kinds of Human Integrity- Towards a theory of inter-processual self (IPS)' in the seminar 'Henley inter-disciplinary sustainability seminar' organized by the department ethics of the Henley Business School of the University of Reading (United Kingdom, 09/11/2015). In addition, he participated in the X congress of the association Española de Bioética y Ética Médica giving the session 'Adolescence an interval of vulnerability and possibility'. (Barcelona, 13-14/11/2015).

Javier Sánchez Cañizares participated in the Workshop 'The Threshold of the Scientific Rationality. The impact of religious-driven world-views in scientific innovation through the history of science', STOQ Project Workshop at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome with the lecture 'The Impact of Religious Worldviews on Kelvin's Physical Insights: Thermodynamics and the Age of the Earth' (Italy, 19-21/11/2015).

Luis Ravina made several institutional visits to the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam (12-28/11/2015).

 

 

 

Alex Armand has participated in the Northeast Universities Development Consortium (NEUDC) Conference  which took place at Brown University (USA), where she presented her paper 'Cash transfers targeted towards mothers increased their empowerment in Macedonia' (USA, 7-8/11/2015). In addition, she gave the seminar 'Measuring and changing control: women's empowerment and targeted transfers' at Carlos III University of Madrid (Madrid, 25/11/2015).

 

  • ATLANTES Programme

Carlos Centeno and Marina Martinez  participated in the 3rd Workshop organized by the Chair WeCare of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya: Relieving Suffering at the End of Life'.. Also in attendance was a Ph. group Irene Garcia. In addition, Carlos Centeno and Marina Martinez attended a meeting to prepare a project of research European on 'Approach to the patient with anticipatory death wishes' in Barcelona (Barcelona, 27-28/11/2015).

The ATLANTES program participated in the Introduction to Art Therapy Workshop for Palliative Care Professionals, organized by PALIAN (Palliative Care Society of Navarra). It was given by Claudia Acuña Douglas, art therapist at Casacreat and Master in Art Therapy University of development (Chile). The workshop was held at high school of Doctors of Navarra and the Museum of the University of Navarra.

 

  • Religion and Civil Society

Daniel Moulin participated in the 'New Approaches to communicating science and faith to children, creative ideas workshop', organized by the Faraday Institute of the University of Cambridge. He also offered the discussion paper 'Anti-Christian prejudice among adolescents and its implications for religious education' at the Christ Church Canterbury University. In addition, he was doing a research in the Bodleian Library University of Oxford and in the India Office Archive (United Kingdom, 02-05/11/2015). On the other hand, he was invited by the Technische Universität Dortmund  to present discussion paper 'Reconsidering religious education and religious identity construction: implications for teachers' (Germany, 02 /11/2015).

David Thunder presented 'Corruption: Causes and Possible Remedies' as part of 'The Spotlight', a life and current affairs forum aimed at students and young professionals (Pamplona, 10/11/2015). In addition, he presented his book Citizenship and the Pursuit of the Worthy Life'. at the Institute of Political Science of University of Warsaw and at the School of Philosophy of Cardinal Wiltschinsky University (Poland 13-16/11/2015).
