agreement to promote the training and qualification of construction professionals in Navarre
The University and the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción sign an agreement to carry out joint training and research activities.

The School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción have joined forces and interests through a partnership framework agreement to improve the training of students from both institutions, as well as the qualification of graduates in their respective fields.
The signature took place at the Central Building of the University of Navarra and was attended by representatives of both institutions. On behalf of the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, its president Juan Las Navas Lacalle, its vice presidents Pilar Piñeiro Gallego and Demetrio Muñoz Ruiz, and its General Manager, Emilio Lezana, were present; and representing the University were its Administrator, Igor Errasti Alcalá, the director of the School of Architecture, Carlos Naya, and the director of development of the School of Architecture, Eduardo Domingo.
The objectives of this agreement will be achieved through activities such as: courses, seminars and training conference aimed at complementing the qualification of students; partnership between professors, experts and professionals for courses, seminars and postgraduate program programs; joint programs of study for specific scientific and technical research through the training mixed work groups; reciprocity in the use of scientific and technological information; and the realization of doctoral thesis and final Degree projects.
"This agreement represents a rapprochement between two core topic institutions for training in the construction sector in Navarra. We have to be especially united in these times of transformation where industrialization, sustainability and new technological tools play an increasingly important role. For this reason, it is necessary that we are, jointly, especially present in professional and university training . This subject of agreement makes the sector stronger every day", says Carlos Naya, director of the School of Architecture.
In addition, this agreement will promote the use of the facilities for training and for the realization programs of study, models, prototypes, pilots and experimental or research work. Among these facilities are the preventive practice centers of the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción Navarra and the laboratory of the School of Architecture. There will also be internship programs for students from the School of Architecture at the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción and its companies, and vice versa.
"The construction sector in Navarra demands more and more highly qualified professionals, able to face the challenges of innovation, sustainability and prevention in a sector in transformation. This agreement will facilitate the transfer of knowledge and the development of core topic competences, improving the employability and competitiveness of the sector. There is no doubt that it is a great boost for the training and qualification of future construction professionals in Navarra and that it will have a positive impact on companies in the sector. The possibility of sharing facilities, developing joint projects and promoting internship programs will allow future professionals to acquire comprehensive training adapted to the reality of the market," said Juan las Navas, president of the Navarra Construction Labor Foundation.
