The students of the Master's Degree in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra attended a Symposium on Nutrition and Neuroscience in Bordeaux. Several experts from the University of Navarra and the Universities of Bordeaux and the Catholic University of Chile discussed the close relationship between nutrition, the proper functioning of the brain and emotional balance, and how the cognitive and learning abilities of the person, as well as their report, depend on the intake of substances such as sugars, vitamins, minerals and fatty acids, among others.
Pedro Prieto-Hontoria and Pedro González Muniesa, professors at the University of Navarra's Pharmacy Department, School , gave their views on lipoic acids and their therapeutic effects on obesity and inflammation, and on the relationship between diseases such as cancer, obesity and respiratory dysfunctions and poor tissue oxygenation.
