The Senior Program closes the course with a lecture on Bishop Álvaro del Portillo.

It will be given by Full Professor Emeritus Pedro Rodríguez, and will take as degree scroll 'Álvaro del Portillo: his ecclesial figure'.

Next Thursday, June 5, the Senior Program of the University of Navarra will close academic year 2013/2014 with a lecture under the degree scroll "Álvaro del Portillo: his ecclesial figure", which will be given by Full Professor Emeritus, Pedro Rodríguez, at classroom Magna at 17h.

The main topic of this edition was Jerusalem, around which several thematic blocks were developed, such as "Dialogue between the great religions", "Islam and Christianity", "Conversations between Yehuda Ha-Levi and Benjamin de Tudela", "Jerusalem: divided city" or "The temple in the Bible, the imagination and the esplanade", among others. In total, 30 sessions that were rounded off with a trip to Jerusalem and Jordan in which 24 students were able to complement what they had received in the theoretical classes.

In addition, during the course, issues from various areas of knowledge have been addressed, such as humanism in medicine, science and religion, the post-war period in Europe, the State and the walls of the contemporary world. And, for the first time, a current topic of Criminal Law has been given, presented in a questionnaire: Grooming crime? In addition, among the novelties, the institute of modern languages has offered a conversation course in English, exclusively for the Senior Program, and the Sports Servicea introductory course to Golf.

The Senior Program is an initiative aimed at people who are over 50 years old or who will soon be 50 years old. In this 11th edition, 66 students participated.
