Mª Carmen Portillo, professor at School of Nursing at the University of Navarra, has been appointed as a member of committee publishing house of the journal Primary Health Care. This publication is a leader in Community Nursing in the United Kingdom, and it publishes a wide variety of articles related to the clinical internship , the research and the professional training in the nursing discipline .
Dr. Portillo was already a reviewer for the most prestigious journals in her field, including the Journal of Advanced Nursing, Journal of Clinical Nursing and International Journal of Nursing Studies, as well as other national journals such as Enfermería Clínica. "It is a great opportunity that I have been given to get involved in the editing and decision-making process of the journal, which I will be able to transfer to both the research and the teaching that development", she says.
Major European approach
Primary Health Care has an up-to-date content publishing house that is of great importance to nursing professionals in the community setting."They wanted to add a European perspective to the journal and, after learning about the trajectory of the research line and projects that I am currently coordinating, they approached me about collaborating with them," she explains.
The journal is published by the Royal College of Nursing, along with others, leaders in sales and of great relevance to nursing in the British state, along the lines of: Evidence Based Nursing, Nurse Researcher or Nursing Standard.
