Prof. María Blanco, new president of the Spanish Society of Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy

Professor María Blanco Prieto, professor at School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, has been appointed president of the Spanish Society of Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy (SEFIG). This is an institution that brings together pharmacists and other graduates who carry out activities of research and development galenic, manufacturing and quality control, teaching and research in the fields of pharmaceutical technology, biopharmacy and pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacy, dermopharmacy, pharmaceutical care and related areas, linked to the pharmaceutical industry, to centers of teaching university or health institutions.
Among the missions of the SEFIG is to contribute to the professional improvement, professor and researcher of its members through the exchange of knowledge, know-how and methods as well as the sharing of experiences and scientific works of research in the biannual congresses organized by the society.
The SEFIG biannually convenes a award of research that awards the best article published by members of the Society in the last two years. Precisely, in the last edition, corresponding to the year 2019, the award was awarded to a work led by Professor Blanco.
