Three days of diving in the Degree in Applied Management

A score of students from the 4th year of ESO and high school diploma participate in the XI edition of the International Management World summer course.

A score of students from the 4th year of ESO (ESO 4) and from different Spanish regions took part in the 11th edition of the high school diplomafrom different Spanish regions participated in the 11th edition of the summer course organised by ISSA School of Applied Management of the University of Navarra. International Management World organised by ISSA School of Applied Management of the University of Navarra. 

Throughout the 10 academic sessions and two leisure activities spread over three days, the course has allowed students to immerse themselves in the university world and discover how companies are organised through theoretical and practical cases in English. 

The sessions at training focused on different subjects of the Degree in Applied Management such as Intercultural Communication, Business Management, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing or languages.

Anxo, Alejandra and Xabier are three of the participants in the course. Below they tell us what this experience has meant for them.

ANXO CASAIS 1st of high school diploma - high school Manuel Peleteiro (Santiago de Compostela)

Anxo Casais is student from high school Manuel Peleteiro in Santiago de Compostela and got to know Degree in Applied Management and the University of Navarra thanks to the Vidiomas Video Competition, in which he participated this winter and in which he and three of his classmates were the winners. 

result He says that this course has been very useful for him, both for the academic learning and for the experience he has had in Pamplona, staying at a major high school of campus. "I got to know the world of business from different perspectives", she says. She also says that although she had already experienced living in a residency program away from home, the welcome she has received at the high school major has made her stay much easier.

"I loved Degree. What attracts me most is that it has many opportunities and is very language-oriented", explains Alejandra Lana, a student at Ikastola San Fermín. She has finished the 1st year of high school diploma and, in addition to Spanish which is her mother tongue language , she speaks Basque, English and French at an advanced level. 

During the three days of the course, she was the hostess in Pamplona for the students who came from other communities, and she says that the sessions she liked the most were the Business Management and Project Management sessions.

When she started the International Management World course, she had just returned from a six-month stay in Ireland, where she completed her 4th year of ESO. student from high school Irabia in Pamplona, stresses that participating in the IMW has allowed her to have a clearer idea of what degree program she would like to study when she finishes high school.

When asked about the subjects that most interested him in the course, he highlighted Project Management, because of the possibilities and tools it offered him to better organise his studies for the next academic year.
