The Clínica Universidad de Navarra has been considered the Spanish private hospital with the best reputation, according to the I Monitor de Reputación Sanitaria de España. A total of 2,399 doctors, nurses, patients and healthcare journalists have rated the hospitals with the best reputation based on their services in two categories according to their ownership, public or private.

The category of private centers is headed by Clínica Universidad de Navarra (10,000 points), followed by Hospital Universitario HM Montepríncipe ( 5,894 points) and HM Universitario Sanchinarro (4,980 points).

In the category of public hospitals, the ranking is headed by La Paz Hospital ( 10,000 points), the Clinic ( 8,759 points), Gregorio Marañón (7,905 points), Vall D'Hebron (7,882 points) and 12 de Octubre (7,527 points).

The methodology used for the construction of the rankings of hospital services with the best reputation by specialization program and hospitals with the best reputation has undergone an independent review by KPMG (rule ISAE3000), and has been endorsed by the medical and nursing associations, as well as patient associations and healthcare journalists.

This is the first study of the reputation of the healthcare system to be carried out in Spain. A macro study that has analyzed both hospitals and hospital services, as well as the main players in the healthcare system based on three evaluations: the first, the evaluation of 2,399 experts: 1.014 doctors (713 specialists and 301 family doctors), 745 nurses, 430 patient associations and 208 journalists; the analysis of186 quality and care performance indicators for hospitals and hospital services and, finally, a assessment of reputational merits carried out by the technicians of the Analysis and research institute, manager of the MRS field work . The extent of data collected made it possible to produce, in the first phase, a total of 30 different rankings.
