Cristina Ruiz Martínez, a graduate in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra, has obtained the position issue four in the exam spanish pharmacy residency program (Internal Resident Pharmacist), which was held on February 2 and whose results have just been announced. Of those presented by the academic center, fourteen have obtained place in this test.
Also, in addition to Cristina Ruiz from Palencia, six other graduates have been among the first 65 positions, three of them from Navarra. They are Goizane Ros Bernaola, from Pamplona, at issue 16; and Carmen Marina Castiella, at 21; Marta Maialen Mediavilla García, from Alava, at 30; Carlota Salazar Santander, from Zaragoza, at 48; María Pilar Monforte, from Teruel, at 61; and Rocío Pellejero Jiménez, from San Adrián, at 62.
In her case, Cristina Ruiz prepared for the exam between June last year and the day before the exam, including the course she took in Madrid during the summer months. According to her, she did the fifth best exam, but her transcript moved her up to fourth place. At the moment, she has not decided where she wants to take the specialization program, but "she will preferably do it in Madrid".
This year a total of 1,306 people sat the exam for 247 places corresponding to Hospital Pharmacy (public and private hospitals) and specialization program in Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy, of which the University of Navarra offers nine places.
