A agreement promotes a statistics contest aimed at ESO, high school diploma and Degree in Navarra

It has been signed by the ICS of the University of Navarra, the high school of Statistics of Navarra and the department of Statistics and research Operative of the Public University of Navarra.

The Institute for Culture and Society of the University of Navarra, the Institute of Statistics of Navarra and the department of Statistics and research Operative of the Public University of Navarra have signed a agreement to carry out the contest 'Incubator of polls and experiments'.

The competition is directed to student body of ESO, high school diploma and formative cycles of Degree Medium of formative centers of the Community of Navarre and counts with the partnership of department of Education and the Navarra Society of Teachers of Mathematics TORNAMIRA Matematika Irakasleen Nafar Elkartea.

Groups wishing to participate must register before April 12 by emailing incubadora@unav.es, indicating the names of the members of group, the teacher tutor, the center and the category.

Final phase: May 24 at the ICS

The deadline for submitting entries to submission is May 4. The final phase of the Navarra edition will be held on May 24 at the classroom ICS of Institute for Culture and Society, located at Library Services of Humanities of the University of Navarra.

The objectives of this competition are to promote the teaching and learning of Statistics at non-university educational levels; to complement knowledge and skills, as well as to disseminate the importance and usefulness of Statistics, Probability and Operational research in real life and in all academic disciplines.

In addition, it aims to awaken in the student body interest in these subjects as fundamental tools in the sciences; to familiarize them with the different stages in the realization of a statistical project ; and to teach them to interpret the different statistical information, as well as to encourage a critical spirit.
