300 high school students and high school diploma participate in two drug awareness campaigns conference
On the 8th and 9th, the University of Navarra will host these sessions where the effects of alcohol, cannabis and opiates will be simulated.
The Healthyclassroom of School of Nursing of the University of Navarra celebrates next April 8 and 9 two conference to raise awareness about the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. The sessions will be attended by 300 high school students and students from high school diploma from Jesuitas, La Compasión Escolapios and San Cernin schools will participate in the sessions.
During the meeting, students will have the opportunity to experience in a simulated way the visual and motor alterations produced by the ingestion of alcohol, cannabis and opiates, with real environments and situations after massive consumption. The aim of goal is to raise awareness among young people and adolescents, and promote in this way to promote consumption manager.
A virtual reality circuit and an over-stimulation classroom , among other activitiesThe meeting will include information tables on alcohol and tobacco consumption. Students will also participate in a virtual reality circuit where visual disturbances are recreated with interactive simulation glasses; and in an over-stimulation classroom that simulates a leisure place where young people usually gather.
Likewise, students who wish to do so will be able to participate in an analysis of carbon monoxide levels in exhaled air in smokers, as well as in a dynamic game on knowledge, values, beliefs and attitudes about alcohol and tobacco in young people. Finally, videos will be shown with testimonies of family members involved in traffic accidents.
