The LII graduating class of ISSA - School of Management Assistants celebrates its graduation.
At the end of the academic ceremony, the students projected an emotional video summary of these four years of study at the University.
Last Saturday, June 2nd, the graduation ceremony for the graduation ceremony of the students belonging to the LII promotion of ISSA - School of Management Assistants. With them, there are now 3294 graduates who have been trained at the School in its more than half a century of history.
The workshop began with a floral offering to St. Mary Mother of Fair Love at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fair Love of the campus and was followed by a Mass of thanksgiving at chapel of the Amigos Building.
Accompanied by family, friends and professors, the students went to classroom Magna of Central Building, where the academic ceremony took place. The ceremony was presided over by Victoria Rodríguez, director of ISSA - School of Management Assistants; Mari Carmen Erviti, deputy director; María Fernández Ygartua, General Manager; Cristhian Mestre, director of development; and Ana María Fernández Vallejo, godmother of the graduating class.
At the opening speech , Professor Fernández Vallejo stated that "these academic robes that you are wearing today do not belong to the liturgy of empty rites, but symbolize the constancy, effort and sacrifice of four years, and enable you to take on the great challenges that the 21st century demands of us. A century that must defend the value of truth, responsibility and commitment; that must respect the value of freedom and human dignity. When I see you here, I feel great pride, confidence and hope. Hope for an ever better future.
Next, Sofía Lavalle (ISSA '18), course delegate, took the floor and said that "although university students are curious to learn, ISSA students have a characteristic that distinguishes us and that is our vocation to be helpful, dynamic and restless". In addition, in his speech he addressed one by one the members of the board of Directors, the faculty and the other professionals who make up the School to thank them for all their support in these four years of degree program. After his speech, a video made by the students was projected, to remember everything lived during this time.
After making submission of diplomas and orlas, the event ended with a closing speech to position of the director of the School. Before her speech, she mentioned Itziar Monasterio (ISSA '17), award Extraordinary End of degree program 2016-2017, who excused her absence at the event for academic reasons. After expressing her gratitude to the families for the trust placed in ISSA - School of Management Assistants for the training of their children, the Director pointed out to the graduates that from now on "they will be working side by side with the managers of large, medium and small companies and will influence many of the business decisions". She also reminded them that "from now on you will always carry with you the knowledge and skills expected of a Management Assistant. However, let us not forget that attitude plays as important a role as theory".
The workshop concluded with a cocktail in which the recent graduates, their families, friends and all the professionals of the center were able to share anecdotes, experiences and memories of their time at the University of Navarra.
