Cristina G. Vivar, accredited as Senior Associate Professor by the National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation

With a degree in Nursing from the University of Navarra, Professor Vivar received her doctorate in 2007 from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland).

The professor of the School in Nursing obtained in 2009 the accreditation of National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation as Associate Professor. Since 2005 she has been a professor in the area of knowledge in Family and Community Nursing, being manager at present of the subject Community Nursing I of the Degree in Nursing. She also teaches teaching in the Master's Degree in Advanced internship and management in Nursing and in the Master's Degree in Palliative Care Nursing. She combines the teaching with the direction of thesis doctoral and dissertations of Master's Degree. She is also coordinator of the online course "Introduction to qualitative research ".

Since March 2006, she has been the deputy director of the department of Community and Maternal and Child Nursing of the School and in June 2012 she was appointed " Academic of " of the , coordinating the exchanges of professors and students to other centers and universities abroad.n June 2012, she was appointed "manager Academic of International Office" of the School, coordinating the exchanges of teachers and students to other centers and foreign universities.

In relation to her research activity, she has published 30 articles in national and international journals and has been editor of two books and author of several book chapters. These publications, framed in the field of Health Sciences, have focused on the results of her research in the area of family care (oncology, dependency, health promotion). Other publications have dealt with aspects of research, especially on qualitative methodology. Highlight his book "research qualitative. guide for beginners" of 2012, co-edited, become a reference for many graduate students and health professionals interested in the design and development of programs of study qualitative.

Regarding her participation in research projects, she has led two projects funded by national organizations, such as the high school de Salud Carlos III or the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness, as researcher principal. She has also participated, as researcher partner , in several research projects related to health promotion in individuals and families, funded by national organizations and by the department de Salud del Gobierno de Navarra. She is currently the principal investigator of a project of research, funded by the Ministry of Education and Competitiveness (2013-2016), to design and evaluate a training intervention program aimed at train nursing professionals to work with families in the phenomenon of dependency.

She is a member of group of research "Frontiers and Culture" of high school of Culture and Society of the University of Navarra, researching on the phenomenon of dependency.

Finally, she is a member of committee publishing house of the journal "research y Education en Enfermería" of the Universidad de Antoquia (Colombia) and of the journal "Enfermería del work" of the Spanish Nursing association work . She also collaborates as an evaluator of articles in national and international scientific journals. She is also a consultant for research of the high school Oficial de Enfermería de Navarra.
