"In the face of a secularized society, we have to give value to the Catholic brand and recover the sense of Christian belonging". This was stated at the University of Navarra by the Bishop of Avila, Mons.XVI Course of update of high school Superior of Religious Sciences (ISCR)The event, which was attended by more than a hundred formators and catechists, was held at the University of Navarra.

During the session, degree scroll 'In hard times, strong friends of God', the Monsignor shared with the participants some reflections with which he encouraged them to rekindle the evangelizing passion, to which he said "all Christians are called".

He stressed that we have made God a "roleless part of contemporary society, not because of a militant atheism, but because of an overwhelming indifference on the part of Christians. We have locked references to the faith in such an intimate sphere of conscience that it has remained frozen in a strictly private sphere".

Faced with this reality, the Bishop of Avila encouraged the participants to live the scenarios and challenges in which it has fallen to them to live in the 21st century, as St. Teresa did in the 16th century: with fortitude, firmness, steadfastness and without pessimism.

And he proposed to them "to rediscover the contents of the faith professed, celebrated, lived and prayed". To this end, he told them that their great allies should be the Catechism of the Church and the Compendium, as well as "having enough creativity to make virtue lovable and the message attractive".
