More than 750 alumni of the University participate in the 2015 Annual meeting
The attendees, from eight different countries, celebrated 10, 25, 40 and 50 years of licentiate degree
More than 750 alumni, professors and family members of some thirty graduating classes from different Schools of the University of Navarra participated last Saturday, October 3, in the annual meeting organized by Alumni University of Navarra. Most of the attendees commemorated their 10, 25, 40 and 50 years of licentiate degree and, in some cases, of Master's Degree.
The graduating classes of Medicine, Law and Pharmacy, which were celebrating their silver anniversaries, were the most numerous, with almost a hundred alumni graduates in the first class. Graduates from Italy, France, the United States, Germany, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and Peru came to meeting . Also the technological campus of San Sebastian celebrated its annual meeting with the meeting of the engineers who finished their programs of study 25 years ago, in 1990.
The specific programs of each School concluded with a joint event in the auditorium of the Museum of the University of Navarra chaired by President, Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, who presented the 10 projects of the Horizon 2020 Program. For the possible involvement of the alumni, Sánchez-Tabernero particularly emphasized the creation of an entrepreneurship unit to support the projects of students, professors and researchers.
For her part, Pilar Lostao, Vice President of International Office and Alumni, recalled and thanked the importance of the support of the graduates to the projects of the University of Navarra and, in particular, to the Program of Alumni Scholarships. transcript This program, which began in 2003, aims to help those students who have good academic skills and aptitudes but lack sufficient resources to study at the University of Navarra. This year, 306 students from 16 different countries are participating in the Alumni Scholarships Program, with a budget of 2,349,765.08 euros.
