The University organizes the "Health and Environment Careers Forum".

More than 300 students and companies from the biosanitary and environmental sector attended quotation at a workshop dedicated to the promotion of the employment

Careers Services of the University of Navarra has organized a workshop dedicated to the promotion of employment and the recruitment of university talent in the biosanitary and environmental sector. The event, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, took place on Thursday, November 5, at the Science Library building of the academic center.

More than 300 students attended an activity plan consisting of a 'Duel with companies', in which students and professionals exchanged questions about the current demands of the sector. There was also a lecture on the evolution of the biotechnology industry, a networking space, an 'International Focused Group' and, in addition, selection processes were carried out on campus.

In this workshop participated 16 national and international companies and institutions such as research center Médica Aplicada, Laboratorios CINFA, 3P biopharmaceuticals, Iden Biotechnology, Sendaviva, Ernst & Young, Viscofan, Procter & Gamble, Leatherhead Food Research or University College London Hospital, among others.

In this workshop participated university students or recent graduates of any degree program to learn about the health and environment sector.

Keys to enter the labor market

Prior to the forum, the School of Pharmacy held some sessions of Introduction to the World of Work of the Degrees of Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics. More than 75 students received from the hand of professionals of the different job profiles of both Degrees, some keys to guide their professional future. 

The two sessions began with presentation of the official colleges (high school Official Pharmacists and high school of Dietitians and Nutritionists of Navarra) where the benefits of membership were explained.

In the workshop dedicated to the pharmaceutical professional, a lecture was given on how to prepare for the official exam spanish pharmacy residency program (Internal Resident Pharmacist) with the participation of alumni Javier Preciado (Pharmacy Service of the Navarra Hospital Complex), Fátima Nebot (Community Pharmacist), Elena Puerta (PhD in Pharmacology, professor and researcher at the University of Navarra) and Iosune Martínez (Regulatory Affairs at Geiserpharma).

In the meeting focused on future dietitians-nutritionists participated the former students Mónica Lozano (manager of management of Quality at Ausolan Jangarria), Miriam Sesma (dietitian-nutritionist in Pharmacy Office), Leticia Goñi, (PhD student in the department of Food Science and Physiology of the University of Navarra), Patricia Yárnoz (dietitian-nutritionist in the Clínica Universidad de Navarra) and Ana Carmen Huarte (dietitian-sports nutritionist in Xalok).
