Experts from different countries will analyse at the University the service relations according to Canon Law and state
The XIII Martín Azpilcueta International Symposium will be held from November 7 to 9 at the School de Canon Law
The University of Navarra will bring together experts from different countries from November 7 to 9 to analyze service relations according to Canon Law and state: trades, suitability and labor relations.
The XIII Martín de Azpilcueta International Symposium proposes a study of the subject from both legal perspectives through 12 conferences and 5 colloquiums.
Professor Joaquín Sedano will open the Symposium on Wednesday, November 7, with the session "Historical aspects of the selection and suitability of the holders of ecclesiastical offices". This will be followed by the second session, discussion paper, by Monsignor Juan Ignacio Arrieta, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts committee , which will focus on "The canonical system of selection and provision of offices".
Professor Jesús Miñambres, of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), will be in charge of the third lecture of the workshop, on "The cessation of official document due to the passage of time and the fulfillment of the expected age".
In the afternoon, two sessions will be held: "Jurisprudence of the ECtHR on Church autonomy and labor relations", with Professor Jean Pierre Schouppe, of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome); and "North American jurisprudence on Church autonomy and labor relations", with Professor José Ignacio Rubio, of the San Dámaso Ecclesiastical University.
The lectures on Thursday, November 8, will begin with lecture by Stefan Mückl, professor at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), on "The employment of staff in the service of the Churches and the court system for the resolution of labor disputes in Germany".
Jorge Otaduy, professor at the University of Navarra, will address the second session, which will deal with the "Legal Regime of Church Employees in Spain". The third session, lecture, "Religion and labor relations in public and private entities in Spain", will be given by Professor Santiago Cañamares of the Complutense University of Madrid.
Ilaria Zuanazzi, from the Università di Torino, will give the first lecture on Thursday afternoon. She will focus on "The responsibility of official document according to Canon Law". And Professor Ángel López-Sidro, from the University of Jaén, will give the second one entitled: "The civil and criminal liability of the holders of ecclesiastical offices according to state law".
"The Canon Law to denounce the inadequacy of office holders" will be the first lecture on Friday, November 9.
