Writer, journalist and priest, he was a professor of Theology and Religion at different Schools of the University.

Professor Ferrán Blasi Birbe died on November 1, 2021 in Barcelona at the age of 92. He was born in Barcelona on March 6, 1929 and was ordained a priest in Rome in August 1959.
A few weeks after his ordination he moved to Pamplona to join the Estudio General de Navarra in the academic year 1959-60. He was Full Professor of the high school of Canon Law, professor of Theology in the high school of Journalism and professor of Religion in different civil Schools of the academic center.
graduate in Law from the University of Barcelona (1953) and Doctor in Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University (1958). He also studied Journalism at the University of Navarra in 1966 ( programs of study ).
Professor Blasi was part of the committee advisor of the collection of books on Theology of Ediciones Rialp and his publications were closely related to the Sacred Scripture, such as 'Los nombres de Cristo en la Biblia' (EUNSA, 1993) or 'Para conocer la Biblia' (Rialp, 2008). He also translated into Catalan several books by St. Josemaría and St. John Paul II and collaborated in the publication of encyclopedias and books on theology and history.
Specialized in religious information, he published several doctrinal and informative articles in newspapers and cultural magazines such as La actualidad española, Diario de Barcelona, La Vanguardia, Diari de Tarragona, Revista Palabra, Revista Mundo, Catalunya cristiana or Revista Nuestro Tiempo.
Professor Juan Fornés was his student in the recently started high school of Canon Law, in 1959: "For different circumstances, I have had frequent attention with him throughout these years. He was a fundamentally good man, of great academic, scientific and, above all, spiritual quality. His classes were clear, profound and, of course, well prepared. His attention always transmitted a great serenity and left a clear sense of peace in those who listened to him".
