What makes a Saturday different? For Camilo Ruiz, a 4th year student of Degree in management Applied-Applied Management, it was the opportunity to collaborate in the cleaning of the Sadar River, an activity organized last October 19 by the Pamplona City Council. Camilo was joined by 17 of his classmates from the Sustainability Club of the University of Navarra, who not only cleaned a stretch of the river, but also reflected on the impact of pollution on our ecosystems.
"At first glance you don't see the garbage, you think the river is clean, but when you start to look closely, you realize the amount of hidden waste," says Camilo. As he says, this experience made him reflect on how, sometimes, pollution is disguised as cleanliness.
The satisfaction of having contributed to the care of the environment accompanied him back home:"That feeling of having helped the world made me very happy. With small gestures like this, Camilo and other volunteers demonstrate how a different Saturday can be an opportunity to leave a drop of impact on the world.
