The School of Science will deliver 29 cases of knowledge dissemination of Chemistry to schools in different provinces of Spain.

The "Periodic Suitcase" is an initiative of Education and knowledge dissemination of Chemistry promoted by the School of Science, in partnership with the Science Museum of the University of Navarra, and whose goal is to bring Chemistry closer to the new generations through experimentation in schools.

Each suitcase contains the chemical reagents needed to perform 40 experiments and also includes a book of protocols that serves as a guide for school teachers to carry out the experiments in the laboratory. The proposed experiments, based on 26 of the different elements of the periodic table, address concepts related to Chemistry that can be applied to different levels of knowledge.

The School of Science will bring this project to 29 schools and institutes in different provinces of Spain during 2025. In addition to these centers, Serveis Educatius Alt Empordà (Girona) has applied for two periodic suitcases to promote Chemistry in its geographical area. Schools, institutes and institutions can apply for the suitcase through the "La maleta periódica" website.

The project "The Periodic Suitcase" was born in 2019 -the year in which the 150th anniversary of the creation of the periodic table by the Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev was celebrated- promoted by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra and had the partnership the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
