A preliminary seminar for the VIII International Architecture congress is held in Chile.
'Architectural Magazines: Urban Representations and Disciplinary Paradigms in Modern Culture' was the degree scroll of the conference
On October 4 and 5, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile hosted the international seminar 'Architectural culture and periodicals', a preliminary activity to the VIII International Architecture congress 'Architectural magazines (1900-1975): chronicles, manifestos, propaganda', which will be held at campus in Pamplona in May 2012.
The seminar was held under the degree scroll 'Architecture Magazines: Urban Representations and Disciplinary Paradigms in Modern Culture'. It was organized by the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the committee Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes of the Government of Chile.
Among the international speakers were professors Rubén Alcolea and José Manuel Pozo from School of Architecture . Experts from different countries also attended: Arturo Almandoz, Claudia Costa Cabral, Carlos Eduardo Días Comas and Carlos Quintans. Also in attendance were Chileans Macarena Cortés, Romy Hecht, Hugo Mondragón, Fernando Pérez, Andrés Téllez and Horacio Torrent.
