La Universidad de Navarra acoge entre los días 9 y 11 el VII Congreso de la Sociedad Española de Emblemática
The University of Navarra will host from the 9th to the 11th the VII congress of the Spanish Society of Emblematics.
Miguel Sanz, President of the Government of Navarra, will participate in the opening ceremony, to be held this Wednesday at 10 a.m.
The University of Navarra will host from December 9 to 11 the VII congress of the Spanish Society of Emblematics. The institution chose during its last meeting, held in Gandía, the candidacy of the University of Navarra, presented by professors José Javier Azanza, from the department of Art History, and Rafael Zafra, from group of research Siglo de Oro.
The opening ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday 9th at 10 a.m. at Sciences Building Social of the academic center, will be attended by the President of the Government of Navarra, Miguel Sanz, and the Dean of the School of Philosophy and Letters, Jaume Aurell. More than 80 experts will meet at quotation during these three days to discuss the origin, form and function of the various emblematic genres.
The Spanish Society of Emblematics is an international scientific association whose goal is to promote the study of Emblematics and the manifestations related to it, as well as its origins and influences in other cultural forms, in all periods, countries and languages, although paying special attention to the Hispanic emblematic production.
On the occasion of congress, professors Rafael Zafra and José Javier Azanza, in partnership with the Library Service of the University of Navarra, have organized a exhibition which includes a sample of the most representative books in this field.
