Leyre Carrascosa Semberoiz and Laia Bononad Font, new ISSA delegates

Leyre Carrascosa Semberoiz and Laia Bononad Font have been elected delegate and subdelegate of ISSA, respectively. They will be the representatives of the School during this academic year 2024/25. Their work will be supported by the remaining 21 members of the different course councils.

A native of Pamplona, Leyre is in her 3rd year at degree program. She was a delegate in her first year and board member in her second year. Today she is a delegate for ISSA and also for her class. With this experience, Leyre has a pretty clear idea of her role: "To be able to serve as a bridge of communication between the students and the coordination, learning to listen to the problems that arise in class on a daily basis," she says. She is also thinking about future generations, about being able to pave the way for them: "I want to propose ideas that will improve what we have, so that future graduating classes can enjoy their time at the University much more," she says.

Laia is from Barcelona and studies 2nd of degree program. Last year she was delegate of her class and this year she repeats, but she has also added the subdelegation of ISSA. For her, this subject of responsibilities is synonymous with change: "To be able to leave a mark during these four years at the University. To leave transformed, different from the way we started," she says. And to bring this growth staff to internship, he assures that the best way to do it is as a team: "I think it is important to strengthen the sense of community among students, regardless of the course. It is essential that we get to know each other better, that we support each other, sharing experiences and helping each other to grow together".
