The School of Nursing of the University of Navarra has held a roundtable on palliative care and has also served to present the second edition of the Master's Degree in Palliative Care Nursing that is taught at the university center.
Marcos Lama, president of the Navarre Society of Palliative Care, was in charge of moderating the roundtable in which also participated Ana Larumbe, nurse of the Palliative Medicine team of the Navarre Society of Palliative Care. Clínica Universidad de NavarraAna Belén Ochoa, Home Care Nurse at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pamplona; and Ana Carvajal, board member of SECPAL Nursing and professor of Master's Degree in Palliative Care Nursing at the University of Navarra.
Then, María Arantzamendi, director of the Master's Degree in Palliative Care Nursing and professor of department of Nursing Care for Adult Patients of the University of Navarra, presented the second edition of Master's Degree, accompanied by Begoña Sánchez, student of the postgraduate program course and nurse of the department of Oncology of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
The event brought together 30 professionals from the world of nursing with an interest in the care of patients requiring long-term care and their families, area specialized in a booming and growing need in today's society.
