REDWINN (network Iberoamerican Innovation Networkand training to Strengthen the Impact of Women in Innovation Ecosystems) is incorporated to the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra with the goal to make female referents visible through the research, the impulse to innovation, the training and the knowledge dissemination.

REDWIN was born in January 2020 with funding from the Ibero-American Science and Technology Program for the development (CYTED Program) to integrate groups of research that had in common the visibility, recognition and strengthening of women's impact in innovation ecosystems.

According to Mª Cruz Díaz de Terán, coordinator of the network, joining the ICS is a great support as it is a center of reference letter at research. She also assured that REDWINN aims to make women visible, "not only in Science and Technology, but also in Humanities, Social and Legal Sciences and the ICS is the perfect place for this transversality".

Currently, six countries participate in project : Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain and Peru. Coordinated by the University of Navarra, the program involves professors and researchers from Schools of Law, Philosophy and Letters, and Economics and Business Administration. Also participating are business Happeninn, association Navarra for Innovation, Creativity and Culture (ANICC) and the Fabre Foundation.

research, training, innovation and knowledge dissemination

For Díaz de Terán, the network will not only make women's contributions to the social development more evident, but it has also been demonstrated with programs of study scientific evidence that there is a relationship between the interest that a profession awakens in girls when it is carried out by a woman. This visibility is achieved through research, training, innovation and knowledge dissemination.

Thanks to the network, it will be possible to identify contemporary women of reference as well as pioneers, women of the past who can serve as inspiration. This research is then transferred to training. For example, the online course 'programs of study on women' or the transversal subject 'Women in History: Feminism, Science and Culture' have already been created at the University.

Innovation will be promoted by encouraging service learning in university subjects, changes in curricula and through the Innovactoras forums and initiatives. In addition, REDWINN submission will award two prizes: the award for the best work on programs of study on women and the Innovactoras Awards. In addition, all of its work will be disseminated through the media.
